Lansån is located about 28 kilometers north of the central town of Bränna in Överkalix. Around 40 people live here, including several families with children.
The village is surrounded by beautiful nature, close to both forests and water, making it an ideal place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Lansån also offers opportunities for winter activities, with a ski trail maintained by the village's interest association.
One of the most prominent aspects of Lansån is its strong sense of community. Villagers often gather in the village hall for various activities, such as crafts for the children and communal coffee breaks. In the village bakery, both pizza and bread are baked, contributing to a homely atmosphere.
Currently, there is no fiber connection in the village.

To get to the central town of Bränna, you need a car. Currently, there is no public transport from any of the villages.
