Kypasjärvi is located 22 kilometers southeast of the central town of Bränna. With a population of about 30 people, Kypasjärvi offers a peaceful and nature-close lifestyle.
One of the most prominent aspects of Kypasjärvi is its strong sense of community. The villagers often gather in the Folkets Hus, where various activities and events are organized throughout the year. During winter, the snowmobile café is a popular meeting place, accessible via snowmobile trails from Överkalix, Övertorneå, and even Finland, where you can enjoy a warm drink and socialize with neighbors and visitors.
In the summer, flea markets and coffee gatherings are arranged, sometimes with musical entertainment, contributing to a lively and social atmosphere.
Kypasjärvi also has a multicultural character, with residents speaking Swedish, English, French, and German.
Currently, there is no fiber-optic connection in the village.
